Lesley Ann Brandt was born in Cape Town, South Africa on December 2, 1981. She is an actress/model most well-known for her roles in TV and film. Beginning her acting career in the New Zealand sitcom Diplomatic Immunity Brandt's American debut came in the form of her subsequent role of Naevia in the historical drama series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The actress has appeared in many TV shows including the likes of Spartacus: Gods of the Arena CSI: NY Single Ladies as well as The Librarians. Brandt is currently performing the role of Mazikeen who is a character on Tom Ellis Lauren German Kevin Alejandro's urban fantasy Lucifer. Brandt was born and lived in Cape Town South Africa and after that, she moved from Cape Town to Auckland New Zealand with her family when she was in her teens. Her first job was as a model by appearing in commercials and print ads. Prior to her rise to recognition as a model, she worked in retail sales and as an information technology recruitment consultant. She landed her first featured appearance in 2009's New Zealand sitcom Diplomatic Immunity where she took on the role as Leilani Fa'auigaese. Her first major appearance came in 2021 as she played the role of a slave girl Naevia on the Starz series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. In addition, she reprised her character of Naevia for the prequel mini-series Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. The actress co-starred with actor Craig Parker in three different show on television: Diplomatic Immunity (2009) Spartacus (2010) and Legend of the Seeker (2008). In 2016, she was cast as a bounty-hunting demon named Mazikeen in the Netflix famous show Lucifer. The most prominent role she has is the one she plays. On the show she co-stars alongside Tom Ellis Lauren German Kevin Alejandro as well as D. B. Woodside.
